Holiday Cocktails with Tenjaku Japanese Whisky
With winter upon us and the holidays just around the corner, we can’t help but get into the spirit of the season here at Tenjaku Japanese Whisky USA. The holidays bring good cheer, some of our favorite annual traditions, and most importantly, holiday cocktails featuring Tenjaku Japanese Whisky. A Tenjaku signature cocktail can be just the thing to put the finishing touches on any holiday gathering or evening at home. Here are a few of our favorites:
Tenjaku Hot Toddy
A Japanese spin on a winter staple and a great way to warm up during the colder winter months.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Tenjaku Japanese Whisky
- ¾ cup water
- 2 teaspoons honey (to taste)
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice (to taste)
- 1 lemon round
Directions:
Begin by bringing the water to a simmer in a small teapot or saucepan. Add hot water to a mug and then add the Tenjaku Whisky, honey and lemon juice. Stir until the honey is thoroughly incorporated. Garnish with the lemon round and a cinnamon stick and enjoy!
Tenjaku Old Fashioned w/ Brown Sugar
A bit of brown sugar adds an element of added warmth to a classic.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Tenjaku Japanese Whisky
- 1 teaspoon packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon water
- 2 dashes bitters
Directions:
Begin by adding the brown sugar, water, and bitters to a mixing glass. Muddle until the sugar is fully dissolved. Add Tenjaku Whisky and then stir briefly. Fill glass holding mixed ingredients with ice and gently stir again. Strain mixed ingredients into an Old Fashioned glass over fresh ice, garnish with an orange peel and a cinnamon stick, and enjoy!
Irish Coffee Tenjaku Style
A smooth, Japanese twist on an old Irish favorite.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Tenjaku Japanese Whisky
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup (more to taste)
- 1 cup freshly brewed coffee (hot)
- Whipped cream (for topping)
Directions:
Begin by adding Tenjaku Whisky and maple syrup into a heat-proof mug. Add a splash of coffee and stir until the maple syrup fully dissolves. Pour in the rest of the coffee. Top with whipped cream, garnish with chocolate shavings, and enjoy!
