Brooklyn Whiskey & Spirits Fest

Is there anything more exciting to attend than a ‘Whiskey Festival’?!

Brooklyn Whiskey Fest

This was the case in Brooklyn, New York at the Brooklyn Whiskey & Spirits Fest. Held at the Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint, attendees came from all of NYC, Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. Many of the new friends that were experiencing Tenjaku for the first time shared that it was the best product showcased at the event; including a gentleman who was visiting from Las Vegas.

Eric Ewell was on-site and attending the event to present Tenjaku. He says “We were referred to attend by our colleague John Castiglione from Boost Beverage, who is a part of our Tenjaku team. Tenjaku is as good a Japanese Whisky as I have personally ever tasted. It’s an excellent product. In Brooklyn, literally hundreds of first-time tasters were discovering the Tenjaku experience.”

He goes on to say, “We had more than one compliment that it was the best product showcased at the event; including a gentleman visiting New York from Las Vegas – which he shared on Instagram. The feedback from consumers was very positive and we loved being there!”

Eric has an experienced perspective on spirits.  His bio includes starting in the spirits industry back in 1992 as a consultant to Seagram and transitioned to full-time in 1997-98. In 1999, he worked for Manhattan Beer and was hired by Coors Brewing Company in 2000. In 2005 I began working with SOURCE Water USA (continues as a consultant to them today) and is very proudly representing Tenjaku USA in the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut.

Experienced industry veteran Scott Curley was also attending, and shares, “The event had an afternoon and evening session which were both 3 hours. Roughly 1500 tickets were sold and Tenjaku was the ONLY Japanese Whisky at the event – so it was a great opportunity for introduction. Almost all were “first time tasters” of Tenjaku and the attendees came from all over NYC, Long Island, Westchester, and New Jersey. We were happy to invite some of our retailers and store owners who proudly offer Tenjaku to their customers.”

Scott’s background includes being a broker or working directly for the manufacturer of wine, liquor, water, and mixers companies. He was an area manager (NYC) for The Gambrinus Company (Corona, Moosehead, Pete’s Wicked Ale) and responsible for product promos every week as well as coordinating our bigger promotions for Jimmy Buffett concerts and Cinco De Mayo. He also handled larger events including radio tags, the Corona bus for Cinco de Mayo and identifying high volume customers for these events.

The event was organized by Evan Berman Productions, a leading host of a multitude of events, festivals, and markets throughout New Jersey, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island.

The Brooklyn Whiskey Fest is annual event and we enjoyed it so much that we are already looking forward to being there again in 2023!
